30 Days Wild 2022 – Week 3 recap

It’s week 3 of 30 Days Wild 2022! Although most of my content is being posted directly to Instagram, Twitter, Facebook and the 30 Days Wild Facebook group, I’m still creating some content for my blog too.

Here are Days 15-21 of #30DaysWild 🌿

Day 15 of 30 Days Wild – Exploring my garden

A wander around to see what’s in bloom so far this month 🌸

Day 16 of 30 Days Wild – Exploring our local community garden and orchard

Around a 10 minute walk from our house, we usually include this visit into each of our annual 30 Days Wild activities. Lots of strawberries, raspberries, gooseberries and blackcurrants on their way, but nothing ready to eat as of yet! Quite a contrast to a few years ago when Robin was munching on some of the ripe strawberries!

Day 17 of 30 Days Wild – My 2022 Temperature Scarf Project

This year I set myself a new challenge to document the daily temperature in a scarf. By the end of they year I’ll have a scarf which will give me a nice visual overview of how the year was. How cool or mild was it in winter? And did we manage to surpass 25C in summer?

This was a very popular post when I shared it on the 30 Days Wild Facebook group with lots of people liking the idea, or sharing either their own or temperature projects from friends and family members.

The project is already providing an interesting snapshot into the current climate, but how interesting would it be to do it next year too so I can compare? I plan to write a blog about the project in the near future.

More information on the project is in the caption below ⬇️

Day 18 of 30 Days Wild – Visit The Royal Edinburgh Botanic Garden – Part 1

I’ve been wanting to visit The Royal Edinburgh Botanic Garden for a while so I was excited to go. We didn’t get there until around 3pm and although we saw lots, we didn’t have enough time to explore all of it.

There were so many different areas to explore and lots of beautiful plants in full bloom. Take a look at the reel below to see what we saw, and look at the photos from Day 20 too!

Day 19 of 30 Days Wild – Exploring Edinburgh

We were in Edinburgh this weekend as today was my birthday! We didn’t do anything specifically nature related but I still managed to get bits here and there into the day. So here are some images from around Edinburgh and from the Vincent Van Gogh exhibition.

Day 20 of 30 Days Wild – Visit The Royal Edinburgh Botanic Garden – Part 2

More on the beautiful plants and blooms in The Royal Edinburgh Botanic Garden ❤️

Day 21 of 30 Days Wild – Starting a floral embroidery

I’ve just started a new project, although it has been sitting in my house for about a year waiting for me to begin it!

I bought the Summer 2021 box from Craft Pod with this pretty embroidery of strawberries and flowers. 🍓I’m looking forward to sewing the strawberries the most and although I don’t think I have quite nailed the technique, it is not looking too bad so far! I might just have it finished in time for 30 Days Wild 2023 😂

Keep any eye out for Week 4 of #30DaysWild coming soon, and catch up with Week 1 and Week 2 🌿

The best places to keep up to date with my daily 30 Days Wild adventures is on my Instagram and Twitter. Come and join me ❤️
