An Urban Wildflower Meadow – Day 17 of #30DaysWild

Day 17 of #30dayswild saw us explore an urban wildflower meadow.

I’ve featured this on #30dayswild in previous years, but it’s so pretty I couldn’t help going back. Every year the same area is left to grow and go wild at the BP headquarters in Dyce. I drive past it most days (or would before lockdown) and it’s such a nice site to see. On closer inspection the area is full of wildflowers and grasses that nature love!

My highlight of the visit though is the massive fungus growing out of an old tree stump. I remember seeing it a few years back and it was impressive! You can see it from the road as you drive past so every time I drive past I look to see if it is there. This week it was! Robin and I were driving to meet a friend when I yelped out in excitement “Wow! Robin look out the window! The fungus is back!” 😂
