Day 7 of #30DaysWild sees Mummy and Robin hunting for rainbows in the garden.
Yet again the weather was pretty miserable today and although the rain was on its way out the wind had picked up and all the trees and plants were being blown around like crazy. It wasn’t the kind of day you really wanted to go out and explore!
Thankfully come late afternoon the weather died down so we managed to go out into the garden and hunt for rainbows. This allowed me to show Robin the variety of different plants and flowers in the garden as well as show him the variety of colours on display.
June is the perfect month to do this as most of our flowers are out in full bloom. Last spring before I fell pregnant we did a lot of work in the back garden planting up multiple pots and planters full of different flowers. One planter we reserved for wildflowers, which once again we have sewn this year.
However I have to say as soon as I became pregnant my involvement in the garden dwindled and I still haven’t done much yet this year apart from some deadheading. It is interesting to see which of our plants have come back and once again how well they are doing! Unfortunately the winds have destroyed some of my Alliums and my first Meconopsis head has fallen off…
